[Fantasy Flight]
Piratissimo from Rio Grande Games
Set the sails and weigh the anchor! Several pirate ships cruise the seas, on the lookout for precious hidden treasure. It’s a matter of honour to discover it, load it on board, and to be the first to bring it into the harbour – despite competition from the other pirates, tornados and the seal of fate. The pirates are none too friendly: they steal, plunder, and sink ships wherever they can. But too much greed can put their pirate treasure at stake. An absolutely merciless game for the whole family. Board, or be boarded. A stormy and exciting family game for 2 to 4 treasure hunters aged from 6 to 99 years with 2 game variations. [Rio Grande]
Mwahahaha! from White Wolf Games
Mwahahaha! is a card game of mad scientists and global domination for 2 to 5 players. You assume the role of an evil genius who builds a criminal empire and constructs a doomsday device with which to cow a trembling humanity. But you’re not the only one with grand machinations. Other players rival you for absolute mastery. He who completes his device first and collects the highest ransom is declared the winner — and ruler of the world! [White Wolf]

Take control of four new Heroes, each with a highly-detailed plastic miniature as well as seven new Red Zombies for use as Plague Carriers, Grave Dead, or to increase the Zombie Horde. New modular game board sections expand the town and feature unique buildings such as the Supermarket, Library, and Antique Shop. New game cards give Zombies a chance to steal weapons from the Heroes and add powerful Double-Handed weapons to the Heroes arsenal, such as Garden Shears and the Fence Post. Also included are two new full color, die-cut counter sheets adding Free Search Markers for the Heroes as well as many more fun ideas to the Last Night on Earth toolbox for limitless use with official web content or creating your own new Scenarios. [Flying Frog]

Whew! Now that the holidays are over...
The holiday season has ended and there is still more stuff coming!
Friday Jan 04, 2008
Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a happy holiday season, celebrating Christmahanukwanzakah or Festivus and eating too much food! I know that we all did here!
Before I forget(again), I want to thank everyone who showed up for the December 8th Bored? Game Day! It was, once again, the largest B?GD! that we have ever had! I hope that you all had as much fun as we did!
And on the subject of Bored? Game Day!, the next event will be Saturday, February 2nd. Mark your calendar, call off work, skip homework, neglect your better half(or better yet, bring'em), ignore the cold weather and be there! There are already new releases from Rio Grande to be played, the new Magic: The Gathering set will be out and there should be restocks of games that haven't seen the light of day for ages! Fun or Die!
Speaking of new releases(the segues never end!) Here is a rundown of some of the latest releases, in this case, four new games from Rio Grande!

Oregon from Rio Grande Games.
The year is 1846. Gunslingers, lawmen, pioneers and whole families left their homes in the east and midwest to try their luck in the West. They loaded their covered wagons with all they could and headed west across steppes, deserts, and mountains.
The players have already reached Oregon and gaze upon the rich farmland below and the potential gold and coal reserves of the mountains. They build ports on the lakes and rivers, churches, warehouses, post offices, and train stations on the plains. And, of course, they must farm the rich land to grow the food necessary for the area to grow and thrive. To win, a player must choose the right times to farm and the right times to build, for planning is necessary, even here in the untamed wilderness of Oregon! [Rio Grande]
Darjeeling from Rio Grande Games.
In 1835, the British East India Company leased the region around the location of the modern-day city of Darjeeling. The British had more than a strategically placed trading post in mind – because of the favourable climate, they wanted to build a sanitorium there as well!
That climate, which was to bring relief to sanitorium visitors, can be thanked for one of the most sought after tea varieties in the world: Darjeeling. While searching for the best teas, the players cross the entire region and assemble the largest shipments possible for each individual tea variety. The latest teas to be loaded are always worth more victory points than the older ones, as tea connoisseurs naturally prefer the freshest cargo. But preferences for individual tea varieties also bring the players victory points while loading shipments. [Rio Grande]
Mü & Lots More from Rio Grande Games.
This collection contains four unusually great card games by four great designers. The games are called: MÜ, NJET, Was sticht?, and Meinz. Each of these games is a trick-taking game, but each also has a very special way of handling the trick-taking: one may choose his own hand cards, trump is chosen by the players together, or one can win a trick by merely calling it his! One box, four games, and endless fun awaits you! [Rio Grande]
In the Year of the Dragon from Rio Grande Games.
In this game, each player takes on the role of a Chinese prince, seeking to maximize the prosperity and prestige of his province in the ancient China of approximately 1,000 A.D. To assist in these endeavors, the princes must call upon the diverse talents of their courtiers, from scholars and monks to warriors and craftsmen. These loyal subjects will lend their expertise to the struggle to shield their rulers from the often disastrous consequences of the myriad of events that plague the populacefrom month to month. Be it drought, contagion or Mongol invasion, only foresight and planning will spare the princes and their subjects from these fates. The better a player can manage his province and withstand the seemingly unending onslaught of hazardous events, the more honor and victory points he will have to show for it in the end. [Rio Grande]
One last item: For those who are into D&D Minis, in the past month I have taken in over 1500 new minis and it seems as though we have sold that many, as well! If you have extra rare D&D Minis and would like to part with them, contact or come into the store for more information!

Dutch Blitz from Dutch Blitz Games.
Ok, so it appears that if you work in the game industry, you've never heard of Dutch Blitz. If you don't play games as a hobby and are just a casual player, you know what Dutch Blitz is! That might not be 100% accurate(Ok, it's not) but it sure seems that way!
This is a game that a customer asked us to find for them, after a bit of searching. I found it and found out what it was. I got a few copies in and then broke one open to try it out. We started to play and continued playing for the next 4 and a half hours. The next day, we played for another 6 hours. Yes, it's that addicting. It's a game for 2-4 players(4 is best) that can best be described as turbo multi-player solitare. I know that doesn't make sense, but you just have to play it. Come in and take a look!
Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress by Shelly Mazzanoble.
Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress is a smart, humorous examination of the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game from a female gamer's point of view. The book delves into the myths and realities of gamer stereotypes. Game Day Promotions
----------------------------------
Magic Game Day Sweepstakes: This Sweepstakes is open only to
the first fifty (50) participants who go to a participating Magic Game
Day retailer. One winner will be selected in a random drawing by
Wizards on or about August 14, 2007. One winner will be awarded a prize
consisting of two (2) roundtrip coach air-tickets to New York City, New
York to attend the 2007 Magic World Championships. Both winner and
his/her guest must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time
of entry.
Scavenger Hunt Contest: Game Day retailer will serve as the
judge of the Contest for his or her respective store, review all
eligible entries, and select one (1) winner on July 14, 2007 who brings
in the most of the 30 enumerated items (to be revealed no later than
June 22). There will be one (1) prize winner per participating Magic:
The Gathering Game Day retailer. Each such winner will receive a prize
consisting of a Magic: The Gathering backpack. Check out
http://www.wizards.com/magicgameday for more details.
An additional nine(9) Tenth Edition booster packs will be
awarded to the Scavenger Hunt entrant that has a larger collection than
the owner of Underhill's Games. If an item on the checklist has more
than one possibility, multiples count. For instance, if it says to
bring a clothing item with M:TG artwork on it, five items are worth
more than just one. Exception: Largest collection of a single non-land
M:TG card counts as one item. 18,000 Grizzly Bears does not count as
18,000 items...sorry.
Also, if you or someone you know wants to learn to play Magic,
there will be a table dedicated to teaching new players the excitement
of Magic! So as you can see, this will be a day for Magic players of
all types!

New Goodies Have Arrived!
New arrivals from Titanic Games, Playroom Entertainment!
Wednesday Jun 13, 2007
Let's see . . . where shall we begin?
New in from Playroom Entertainment is a fun and simple word game with the *coolest* game components to ever emerge from the dark depths of the ocean! "UNSPEAKABLE WORDS" is a word game for 2-6 players with a Cthulhu twist! Players make words from the cards they are dealt and then check to see if they are losing their sanity! The card values are determined by the number of corners on the letters(pay attention, Hounds of Tindalos fans) and the sanity markers are adorable little Cthulhu pawns!!! You have to see them!!!
Paizo Publishing's new boardgame line, Titanic Games has just released a really unique game! "STONEHENGE" started off as a box of game pieces centered around, to no surprise, Stonehenge. There are monks, trithilons, a board and some other random bits. Then they handed the pieces to five different game designers and told them to each make a game. So you have one box and FIVE different games!
